Visitors Business:

Suzy Roorda came in to discuss the separation of Events Coordinator and Parks and Recs committee. Parks & Recs have met a couple of times over the last month, but they are unsure how to continue as a committee. Discussion on keeping the Parks & Recs committee as is, because this is all done on a voluntary basis. The Events Coordinator position will remain as it is, overseeing the many functions that take place either on the town  green or at Town Hall. Suzy said she has received a letter from several coaches proposing the Town add a Sports Department in New Haven to not only help out Little League, but soccer and basketball teams as well. This will aid the teams in acquiring shared t-shirts, as well as needed equipment. There was some discussion on having the coaches submit estimates for equipment, and how they need to be held accountable for the equipment. The board decided to change the Little League fund to a sports fund and allot the fund $3,000; $1,000 going to each sport.

Discuss the need for a 911 coordinator in town, Denise Many is the one who has done most of the work on this and she understands the system and the software. Denise would be the most likely candidate. Barb will ask Denise if she would be willing to take it on.

Assistant to the selectboard, how many hours a week do they think they need someone. It was agreed that 21 hours per week should be sufficient.
