Work on Budget.
Selectboard decided to put an article on the warning to purchase a conveyor with money from the Equipment Fund.
Discussion of changes to budget and projects for next year. Selectboard will try to keep the budget to a minimal increase. Some of the projects will be partially covered by State grants. The expenditures column may look high but the bottom line should not increase too much.
Discussion of wages:
Road Foreman – Phil Busier will stay on salary at $47,250.00 per year
Road manager – Scott Busier will stay on salary at $38,850.00 per year (5% increase)
Assistant to the Road crew will be paid $12.60 per hour.
Discussion of meeting schedule. The Board will change their meeting schedule. They will meet The 2nd Monday of the month at 11:00 am to do roads and pay orders. They will meet the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm for other business. This will start in February.
Claire Van Buren would like to run for Town Clerk. She understands that this is a part time position and would like to run for election. She would like to keep her other job and would plan on being in the office at least 16 hours a week. She knows that it would be more sometimes. The current plan would be to work from 11:00 – 3:00 pm 4 days a week. She does not want health insurance.
The Selectboard decided to budget $20,000.00 for the Town Clerk position.
Pam Kingman would be interested in becoming the Selectboard assistant. She would keep the office open and work for the Selectboard. She would like to get paid $18.00 per hour and have full insurance. The Selectboard decided to pay $16.00 per hour for an assistant. Selectboard would be willing to provide insurance. Hours and insurance still need be worked out.
Other wages were determined as follows:
Treasurer - $25,000.00 per year
Zoning Administrator - $15.00 per hour
Listers - $15.00 per hour
Auditors - $15.00 per hour
Events Coordinator - $15.00 per hour
Planning Commission and ZBA minute takers - $12.00 per hour
Custodial $10.00 per hour 50 hours per month
Constable stipend - $300.00 per year
Assistant Clerk – $10.00 – 16.00 per hour – as appropriate for experience.
