NEW BUSINESS

Visitors Business:

Paul Audy motion to sign warrants for the dogs; seconded by Keith Hall.  All agree.  Burt Allen was consulted over the phone and he will also sign the warrants for the dogs.

Wayne Marcelle – Proposed that the dog ordinance be changed to include that the Animal Control Officer is authorized by the selectboard to use deadly force in a situation where a person is in danger of being attacked.  Animals not properly licensed will be cited by the Animal Control Officer and the fine will start at $75.00.  Increasing an additional $75.00 every month the animal remains unlicensed.  If the animal remains unlicensed it may be destroyed.

Selectboard O.K. to make changes to the ordinance.  Write it up and they will look at it.

Wayne Marcelle – Would like to get paid for an additional 5 hours per month.  He painted the gym over the summer and does not feel he has enough time to do what needs to be done.

Barb Torian – Several people don’t think the job is getting done.  How often are you going to clean the tables and the bathrooms?

Discussion about how much work there is to do.

Discussion about the hot water heater.  Has been ordered and they will get to it in December.

Barb Torian – Presented an estimate to purchase another computer.  The Listers computer is quite old and the office will do a rotation of computers to upgrade theirs.  Paul Audy motion to purchase another computer.  Second by Keith Hall.  All agree.

Keith Hall motion to sign payroll and other pay orders.  Second by Paul Audy.  All agree.

Discussion of fuel oil – Paul Audy  spoke with B&W Fuels and told them not to continue to fill the tanks.  He also spoke with Champlain Plumbing and Heating and they had been told by Phil Busier not to fill the tanks and the tanks had never run out before.  The town will put the fuel oil out to bid again.  Bids will be due by December 15.  Bids will be for an amount over the NY mercantile rate.
