 NEW BUSINESS

Wendy Butler – Town Hall Permit – Would like to hold a dance on April 29th.  Will be a fundraiser to help pay for legal fees relating to VELCO.  Would like to have the fee waived.  Will be an opportunity to raise public awareness and inform people.

Amos Roleau – If they waived the fee it would look like the Selectboard was supporting a political cause.  Would also have to waive fees for anyone who came in and asked.  Will not waive fee.  Signed application.

Community Projects - Suzy Roorda – The Community Projects Group would like to know what the Select boards thoughts are on the King House and office space needs.  Would like to come up with 4-5 options and send out a survey or something.

Amos Roleau – There will have to be a vote.

Suzy Roorda – Options will need to be narrowed down.

Amos Roleau – The Town has voted for 2 years to save the house and then the Bond is voted down.  Need to find out if they don’t want the King House or if it’s about the money.  There has been a lot of talk about a new building.

Discussion of people still not knowing what is going on.  Parking needs to be addressed before someone gets killed.

Suzy Roorda – Community Projects Group would like to help and would like to know what to do next.  The Town has out grown the space and something needs to be done.

Burt Allen – Selectboard needs to sit down and figure out what they think is best for the community.  Need to look at the money.  Need to figure out what will satisfy the needs. Does not want to see money put into a black hole.

Discussion of surveys not getting everyone’s input. Only those who answer.

Discussion of need for Library.  Some people think don’t need one.  Some people would be devastated if there weren’t one.

If do a survey the questions will need to be very clear.

Will need to have another town meeting with an Australian Ballot.

Burt Allen – Selectboard will sort it out and come up with something everyone can live with. 2-3 options.

Steve Dupoise – Now that the Town Plan has been accepted.  Will the Selectboard “spot zone” so he can get started on his new building.

Paul Audy – Planning Commission has to go through their process first.  Then Selectboard can take action.

Cars being left on Town Property by store – They are no longer there.

Roads – Update

Will be meeting with the new water guy on the 30th.  Would like to hire someone to cut trees along River road; the trees are hanging over the road and there are wires in the way.  Worried about what would happen if there were another strong storm.  O. K. for Phil Busier to get some estimates.

O.K. to replace some of the planks on the Rattln Bridge.

Will be removing the underground tanks at the garage as soon as receive the information from Lincoln Applied Geology.

Discussion of erosion control along the river and possibly planting some trees.

Discussion - salt shed does not sweat and equipment is not rusting.  There is no moisture problem.
