Read and approve minutes make corrections if needed. 

NEW BUSINESS

Selectboard is willing to put in an additional article at Town Meeting.  All agree

Amos Roleau – Why would you have to culverts 30 feet apart?  The new one is in a better location.

Discussion of whether there is a road access permit.  Zoning Administrator will not issue a certificate of occupancy until all is settled.  Amos will talk with Road Commissioner and Zoning Administrator.

Betty Bell – Cemetery tree – Who is paying for the lift?  Jim Apgar will be taking the wood and road crew will chip the small stuff.   Amos Roleau will look into.

Al Karnatz – Chair Planning Commission - Planning Commission just finished their Public Hearing and submitted the changes to the selectboard for their public hearing to be held on Feb. 2. 

MISC. Correspondence

·        Addison County Regional Planning – Invitation to meeting regarding proposed Cross St. Bridge

·        Thank You from C. Donnan for Horse Caution signs

·        Vermont State – Agency Transportation – Rattlin Bridge Project rehabilitation $1,340,000.  Earmarked for project.

·        Equalization study and new Common Level of Appraisal.  85.86. Will need to reappraise again soon.  Equalized Education Property Value $168,654,000.

·        Vermont State – Agency Natural Resources – Public Comment on draft Multi- Sector General Permit ends Feb. 16, 2006.   MSGP – is a 5 year permit that covers new and existing discharges of storm water associated with certain types of industrial activity.

·        Oliver L. Twombly – Law Office – request to avoid judgment.

·        Bottum Properties – letter agreeing to pay legal fees for an agreement to be drawn up to have a sewer pipe under North Street.

·        Vermont Dept. Environmental Conservation – River Management – Request for proposal – Grant s to reduce long-term sediment and nutrient loading from unstable or eroding stream channels and flood plains. 

·        VLCT – Municipal Policy info

·        VLCT – Health Trust Policy – Considering changing the way benefits are allowed for retirees.
