7:00 - ROAD CREW UPDATE

Discuss need for cross culverts on East Street

Discussion – Road Commissioner / Foreman does not want to come to so many meetings.  Paul Audy will act as the go between for Phil Busier and the Selectboard.  They will touch base weekly or more if needed.  Phil Busier will only come to a meeting about road stuff quarterly or as needed.  Phil Busier will present a typed report monthly for Selectboard.

 Roadside mowing is going well.  Still working on first time through town.

Dave Heisler work evaluation done under executive session.  Motion by Larry Buck.  Second by Paul Audy. All agree. 7:45 – 7:55.

 

7:30 - NEW BUSINESS - Visitors business

Polly Darnell – At the last meeting the Forrest Drive residents had offered to put together a post certification committee.  They had trouble reaching people and now the plans have already been submitted. The new plan shows that the power lines have been moved from the existing right of way closer to Forrest Dr.  They would like to request that the Selectboard respond to the substation plan, requesting that the lines to the west of the substation be kept in the existing right of way; also concerned about noise and lights. Comments are due by the 14th.

Discussion of VELCO never having come to the Selectboard to negotiate. Discussion VELCO can’t negotiate.  Public Service Board is making the decisions.  Larry Buck will call Tom Dunn.

Temporarily hold check number 11811 for Perfect Pitch until hear from Larry Buck.  Follow up O.K. to pay $10,000.00 deposit.

O.K. to pay assistants once a week.

Next meeting and public hearing on petition zoning changes July 19, 2005

State of Vermont – Agency Natural Resources – Act 250 – Hutchins / Perna

State of Vermont – Dept. of Taxes Residential and Non- Residential tax rates for schools.

State of Vermont – Dept., of Taxes – Inserts for tax bills.

VELCO – new drawings, etc.

State of Vermont – River Corridor Protection and Restoration Partners – Grants available.

John Madden – Various - regarding survey – request to have his survey mailed to towns people. Selectboard will not send out a survey for an individual or group of citizens in town.   –

State of Vermont – Estimated Hold harmless and pilot payments - $95,611.00 and $1,468.00
