 Read and approve minutes make corrections if needed. 

7:00 - ROAD CREW UPDATE

Discuss need for cross culverts on East Street

• Winter Sand Screening – Discuss screening sand out of Choiniere’s pit at $1.50 / yard. ( plus $1.50 to screen)  Phil Busier would like to get other towns in the area to join together and everyone will be able to get a lower price.  Towns could all help each other truck and would go really fast.  Phil Busier will get in touch with other towns and try to set up.  Selectboard O.K. if can get screened sand for $3.00.

Discussion – Road Commissioner / Foreman does not want to come to so many meetings.  Paul Audy will act as the go between for Phil Busier and the Selectboard.  They will touch base weekly or more if needed.  Phil Busier will only come to a meeting about road stuff quarterly or as needed.  Phil Busier will present a typed report monthly for Selectboard.

 Roadside mowing is going well.  Still working on first time through town.

• Need more equipment for some tasks – Road Crew would like to purchase a Compactor and a pump from Northern Tool – Selectboard approve purchase of Compactor for around $2,000.00 and Pump for around $570.00.
• Timing of Budget
• Agreement with State – Route 17  - Sidewalk / traffic calming – Contract signed.

• Agreement with State regarding East Street – Phil Busier would like to have the Town do the work he stopped working on pricing because he thought Selectboard was going to contract out.  Discussion.  Phil Busier will gather pricing and Selectboard will decided.  If Phil Busier has time and the pricing looks good then will have Road Crew do work and send proposal back to the State. Right of way will need to be taken care of.  Road may need to be discontinued or altered.  Will need to gather all potential costs involved before presenting to State.
• Agreement with Palmer and Town Garage - No response from Palmers or their lawyer Phil Busier will check on.

• Sign pay orders        

Dave Heisler work evaluation done under executive session.  Motion by Larry Buck.  Second by Paul Audy. All agree. 7:45 – 7:55.

7:30 - NEW BUSINESS - Visitors business

Polly Darnell – At the last meeting the Forrest Drive residents had offered to put together a post certification committee.  They had trouble reaching people and now the plans have already been submitted. The new plan shows that the power lines have been moved from the existing right of way closer to Forrest Dr.  They would like to request that the Selectboard respond to the substation plan, requesting that the lines to the west of the substation be kept in the existing right of way; also concerned about noise and lights. Comments are due by the 14^th.

Discussion of VELCO never having come to the Selectboard to negotiate. Discussion VELCO can’t negotiate.  Public Service Board is making the decisions.  Larry Buck will call Tom Dunn.

• Tax Anticipation Note  - Signed note for $350,000.00
• Set Tax Rate – Municipal rate set at .48 ish.  There will be rounding when entered into computer.
• Cafeteria doors – repair – Larry Buck will look into more companies to get bids from.  Follow up – Contact Ambrose and Son for quote.

                                              Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC)            

Temporarily hold check number 11811 for Perfect Pitch until hear from Larry Buck.  Follow up O.K. to pay $10,000.00 deposit.

O.K. to pay assistants once a week.

Next meeting and public hearing on petition zoning changes July 19, 2005

State of Vermont – River Corridor Protection and Restoration Partners – Grants available.

John Madden – Various - regarding survey – request to have his survey mailed to towns people. Selectboard will not send out a survey for an individual or group of citizens in town.   –
