 NEW BUSINESS

• Visitors business

Bill Brim – Emergency Coordinator – Was appointed by the selectboard and would like to accept the position he worked in the St. Cloud fire dept. for 21 years and was a liaison for the city, he has helped to develop a disaster preparedness plan for them.  He would like to begin the process for New Haven. He has had a meeting with the Fire Chief, Road Commissioner, Selectman, Local Emergency Planner and Assistant Fire Chief.  Next meeting will be Dec. 13, 2004. 7:00 pm.  He would like to develop a special needs list, asking people if they would like someone to come by,  if there is a problem and see if they need assistance.  We will need to set up an emergency contact person.  He would like to see the selectboard set aside some money in their budget for training and mailings. He is willing to donate his time, but will need some funding for other items.

• Suzy Roorda – Playground Committee – Committee would like to know if it is O.K. to utilize the town equipment and crew to help with the removal of some playground equipment.  Select Board said it would be O.K..  Make sure to get approval from the School.
• Town Meeting  - Discussion of logistics for March Town Meeting – Will not be able to discuss Australian Ballot items on Tuesday during Town Meeting do they want to have the informational meeting the night before or vote on items the next day?  Will look into voting on Wed.
• Munger Street Cemetery – Request for monies – will put into next years budget.

ROAD CREW UPDATE

Gerald Masterson – flood - No money will be available until a project has been completed and inspected – There are 12 projects.  Discussion of culvert on North Street will probably stay as a culvert instead of being replaced with a bridge.

Discuss Grader – Estimate for new comes in at $141,260.00 after municipal trade in and discount.  Discuss lease option.  No decision.

Town of Bristol still has not fixed the culvert on Cove Road.

Phil Busier offered to sell his back hoe to the Town for $1.00 and he would retain use for personal use upon occasion.  Select board will think about it.  Would like to be able to use it so he can get some things done, with out having to wait for sub-contractors. 

Discuss rust on box of Scott’s truck.  Would like to replace it with an aluminum box. 

The 1993 truck needs a lot of work.  Clark’s has a used truck available for around $19,000.00. Discussion will get estimate to repair from Choiniere. No decision.

• Traffic Ordinance -
• Radios – Nextel sales rep stopped in to provide information on their new radio / phones.

Falcon communications has done the work to renew the FCC license and would like the Town to consider using them the next time they have some radio work to be done.

Dave Heisler might be interested in doing some work on the road crew – Discussion – no action.
