Approve minutes
Silvia Gonzalez: Brought the School Boards recommendation for appointment to Al Calzini’ position along with a copy of his resignation. There were two people interested Jeff Pratt and Lowell Nottingham. Lowell Nottingham has served on the board before and was the one whom the School Board recommended for appointment.
Burt Allen made a motion to appoint Lowell Nottingham to fill the School Board position. Seconded by Larry Buck. All agree. Clerk will send letter of notification to Nottingham. Next School Board meeting will be on Wed. October 27, 2004 at 6:00 pm.
Discussion – Paving of the area between the School and Town Hall will begin on Thursday. School voted to pay $1500.00. Town will pay the remainder. Was bid around $5100.00.
Discuss making sure that the kitchen fans get covered again after the paving is finished.
Read request from Voices for Sensible Energy to hold a Special Town Meeting on November 29, 2004 to request an additional $15,000.00 for legal costs relating to VELCO.
Discussion – Fire Dept. had wanted to warn for money for a fire truck. Burt Allen will contact them and see if they are still interested. Warning will be changed to include an article for them if they are still interested. Will continue meeting to include signing of warning next week if needs to be changed. Otherwise will warn for Monday the 29th of November.
Sign receipt of Act 250 information regarding Bill Shafer’s property.
Will ask Beanie Masterson if he can attend the mitigation meeting.
