Read and approve minutes make corrections if needed. 

NEW BUSINESS

• Peter Norris – Zoning Issues – Discuss problem with frivolous law suits.  High court / legal costs to residents in town and the town.  There have been appeals of many board decisions for no apparent reason.  Land owner usually ends up having to foot the bill for court costs.  Very frustrated with situation.  Would like the town to join in a potential law suit to prevent frivolous law suits.  Discussion of constitutional rights.  Town will consult lawyer regarding issue.

• Sandy Kemp – Riverside Cemetery – Purchase plots - 545-2737 Trade for two plots –O.K. to trade.

Discussion of King House boundaries relating to new building and bonding.  Rear boundary is to close to school.  Conversation with Ouimette thought a boundary line adjustment or land swap would make sense.  School district could Quit claim the back property to the town and the town could Quit Claim the Town Hall to the school.  Burt Allen interested in having the town retain the Town Hall.  Discuss crating one unit to own all of the land.  Larry Buck will contact Ouimette to set up a meeting to discuss several issues.

• Jim Dumont – VELCO – 8:00pm or later – Phone conference update – VELCO responded to letter of response to mitigation issues as not being interested.  Dumont thinks Public Service Board will make VELCO move the substation regardless of other issues. Board is bending over backwards for VELCO they are in support of the project.  Even though the Board has expressed some concerns.  Still questions about the need for the 345 line.

• Suzy Roorda – Grant info – on hold
• Al Karnatz – Planning Commission – Development Review Board / Zoning Regulations – on hold
• Appointments – Regional Planning Commission – will act on next time.

Wayne Marcelle – would like to have front trees pruned. – Selectboard O.K.

ROAD CREW UPDATE

• Tractor problems – Problem that was thought to be the clutch turned out to be a transmission problem.  Larry Gebo has been contacted as a back up for mowing roadsides.  Tractor will still need to be fixed. 

New seat has been purchased for the loader and grader.

• Need to supply Info to Ouimette to do Easement agreement - Phil Busier will bring documentation in to town offices.
• Sign Over Wt Permits –
• Sign pay orders

• Ouimette – notice of appearance – Madden appeal
• VLCT – Vermont Municipal Policy – will be voted on and Town Fair – Original to file
• Addison County Regional Planning Commission – letter of support for proposed grant application
