AGENDA: Results

NEW BUSINESS
- Bob Hall Bristol Town Administrator Discuss issues
regarding the sharing of towns roads, maintenance. Discuss problems
with culverts not being replaced and trees that need to be removed. Each town
agrees to be 100 percent responsible for the regular maintenance portion of
the pieces of road they are taking care of for the other town. Problems and
questions should be directed through the chain of command first if there are
problems, then call Bob Hall and he will follow up. There will be no written
agreement at this time.
Wayne Marcelle Has had more complaints regarding the
Armstrong dogs. Armstrong has purchased one bark box and ordered
another. One was not enough to keep the dogs quiet. He has been there eight
times. Selectboard suggest he have the sheriffs department issue some
citations.
Wayne Marcelle Would like to know about guidelines for
constable position. Is he bonded Follow up yes.
Wayne Marcelle Fire Department would like to spend monies
from the truck fund for a utility box costing around $50,000.00. Will
need to ask the town to vote on. Bristol Heavy rescue will stop doing heavy
rescue by 2007. Suggest Fire Dept. representative come to the next Select board
meeting if they would like to discuss the matter further.
- Jim Dumont VELCO update VELCOs lawyer has
asked if New Haven would be willing to do the same thing Vergennes is doing
(Drop their opposition if line is moved into Ferrisburgh). Meaning would New
Haven be willing to stop its opposition if VELCO moved the sub-station. This
piece is unique to New Haven as a burden of the expansion. VELCO has stated
it would cost around a million extra to move the station. It appears that
they will likely be asked to move it regardless of New Haven dropping their
opposition. Discussion of other issues - noise and light as well as vistas
from Route 17. Discussion of how difficult it has been to get information
from VELCO relating to noise and light. New Haven would like a burm and ways
to keep the noise and light to a minimum. Would like under-grounding in Route
17 area. Will stop opposition if get those things except for the issue of
need for the 345 Line. Dumont given O.K. to respond to VELCO regarding their
request. Larry Buck motion to go into executive session to discuss litigation
and ethical issues. 8:40 pm. Second by Amos Roleau. All agree. End
executive session and resume regular meeting at 9:10 pm.
