Sign grant application – Planning grant signed – grant monies if received will help to coordinate the current projects relating to the village area. School, King House and Sidewalk projects.
Petition received from John Madden signed by town residents. Petition read “Shall the Selectman require that all members of the Planning Commission, the Zoning Board of Adjustments, and the School Board be residents of the Town of New Haven?”
After conferring with the Secretary of States Office to confirm the appropriate course of action the selectboard has chosen to turn down this petition based on the fact that they have no authority to over ride the state statutes which govern these positions on boards. Buck made motion to turn down the petition seconded by Allen. All agree.
