Property Sales

We realize your property in New Haven has been sold; however, we are required to send the tax bill to the registered owner as of April 1st of each year.

A duplicate bill has been sent to the new owners.

Some or all taxes may have been paid at the time of closing for your property.  However, if you were the owner on record as of April 1, 2006, and the taxes become unpaid or delinquent, you are responsible.

Name of a deceased person still showing on your tax bill

If one of the parties on your tax bill is no longer with us, and you would like to have their name removed from your tax bill in the upcoming years, you must contact the Town Listers and have them double check the wording on your deed to see if the name can be removed.

If they are unable to remove the name due to the legal wording of the deed you will need to have a Quit Claim Deed issued in order to have the name removed.
